Future Internet Assembly – Dublin

Connected Smart Cities Banner

Unveiling the Connected Smart Cities banner. “Now how do we get it to Dublin?”

CitySDK is one of a number of projects that will be featured at the Future Internet Assembly in Dublin in May. The Connected Smart Cities workshop  on  May 7th brings together a range of smart cities projects to enable sharing of good practice, updates on progress and a chance to talk to other partners in other cities about what they have been involved in.  The afternoon session will see the launch of the Creative Ring, which again should be of interest to smart city partners.

You can register your interest in the workshop here, but please note that you will also have to register (and pay a small fee) to attend the Future Internet Assembly itself. Full details are here. If you are only attending the pre-FIA event then there is a separate ticket at a reduced cost. The conference as a whole takes place at the Wateford Institute of Technology just outside the centre of Dublin.

During the week there will be a chance to find out more about other smart cities projects who will be exhibiting during the conference – and to attend a wide range of sessions relating to future internet technologies and future opportunities. CitySDK will be attending the open data session on the Friday, for instance.

We hope to be able to update regarding the FIA during the week and will be blogging at the Connected Smart Cities website.  We shouldn’t be hard to find, as you can see from the picture above, as we’ve a 4 metre long banner which all being well will be meeting with us in Dublin!
